    mundu SMS is a mobile application that allows you to send inexpensive SMSes over the Internet.

  1. How do I create a mundu SMS account?
    To create an account, visit mundusms.com. An SMS with your password and the download link will be sent to your phone. In case you want to use the desktop version, you can download the 'install' file from our website.

  2. How much does mundu SMS cost?
    Each SMS is charged depending on the country you are sending to. Please checkout the Rates for sending SMS to various countries. The credit packs are available in various denominations. Please visit Recharge to buy mundu SMS credits.

  3. I don't find a way to use my PayPal account on your site.
    PayPal doesn't allow domestic payments with in India now and hence the option is no longer available.

  4. Which platforms does mundu SMS support?
    mundu SMS is supported on the following platforms:
         Windows Desktop

         Selected Blackberry devices
         Pocket PC (Windows Mobile 5.0 / 6.0 / 6.1)
         J2ME devices
         iPhone & iPod Touch (OS 3.1 and above)
         Android (OS 2.0 and above)
    On registering your mobile number for mundu SMS, you will receive a download URL. You can click on the URL to directly download the appropriate installer file on to your device.

  5. Will mundu SMS work on Wi-Fi / WAP / GPRS / EDGE?
    Yes, you can use any means of internet connectivity to use mundu SMS.

  6. Will a normal GPRS / WAP connection be enough to use mundu SMS?
    Yes, you will be able to use mundu SMS with a simple WAP connection.

  7. What are the advantages of using mundu SMS? How is it different from the regular phone SMS?
    mundu SMS transmits messages over the Internet and is cheaper as compared to the regular SMS. SMS charges remain the same on sending messages to anywhere within the country. However, you will be charged for the bandwidth usage based on the data plan from your service provider.

  8. Can I use mundu SMS on multiple devices?
    You can login to your mundu SMS account on multiple devices, but you can use the application on only one device at a given time.

  9. On receiving a message from mundu sms, what will be the Sender's id on the SMS received?
    The message sent through mundu SMS will be received from the sender's mobile number.

  10. Is it mandatory to have a credit card to buy mundu SMS credits?
    The current payment mechanism allows you to pay using Most Visa debit cards / Netbanking /ITZ Cash card in addition to a credit card. So, you can choose from the various options available to make the payment.

  11. I bought a pack of Rs.20, why does my account show only Rs.15?
    The Rs. 20 pack quarterly pack allows you to send 60 local or national messages. Your account is credited with Rs.15 and 25 paise will be deducted per local SMS allowing you to send 60 messages. You can also send international messages with this balance. However, you will be charged accordingly based on the destination.

  12. Is there a validity for the SMS credits?
    Yes. The validity for your credits depends on the Re-charge packs you choose. We are offering credit packs with monthly and quarterly validity.
